Iurii has taught courses on foreign policy analysis, EU foreign policy, political regimes, post-Soviet studies, political sociology, and comparative political science at the European University at St. Petersburg, RANEPA, and HSE St. Petersburg. From 2018 to 2022, he was a Research Fellow at the Laboratory for Public Policy Analysis. In 2019, he served as a Research Fellow at the Aleksanteri Institute in Finland and was a Visiting Fellow at the European University Institute in Italy in 2015.
Currently, Iurii focuses on studying the foreign policy of the European Union and Russian foreign policy rhetoric using programming and quantitative methods with R and Python. His academic interests include European studies, foreign policy analysis, EU foreign policy, the dynamics of political regimes in the post-Soviet space, public policy analysis, and the application of scraping, parsing, and quantitative data analysis techniques.
